With life happening so fast the past several weeks I realized it has been a while since I wrote a post for the gaming section. Even though I mainly play World of Warcraft I do play other console games. Last month Xbox had a promotion for the Xbox game pass to be only one dollar; so as any sensible gamer would do, I got it and downloaded a few games. Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter & Recore. I don’t want to give too much information away about these games because I hate spoilers so I am going to include a variety of screenshots of actual gameplay, by me, to hopefully encourage you to play and enjoy these games as much as I did. To add, I love to snack while I game because what is better to do than sit on the couch with your controller than to eat in between cutscenes? Nothing.
Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter was absolutely amazing for me. I love the mystery solving and thrilling gameplay with the fact that there several different cases to solve make it even better for longer game time. You mainly play as Sherlock and every so often a few other key characters who are wanting to help Sherlock in the investigations. The game is so vivid, all the scenes look so real. It is bright and even the sounds are in the perfect places. I took so many screenshots that I had to cut down on how many I posted here. So, I limited it to mostly scenery and moments with Watson during different cases to try not to spoil any actual case gameplay for anyone who is wanting to play this game – which I highly recommend. I have actually played it twice.
Recore: Definitive Edition: This one I am actually currently still playing after a month. There is so much to do. I was really intimidated at first to try this game out from watching the trailer I thought that I would never be able to figure out the controls. I decided to give it a try because if I didn’t like it there’s no problem since it is on the game pass. So I took the chance and installed it and was immediately hooked. I feel since you start with a companion, it gave me a good sense of not wandering the planet of Far Eden alone. The controls are not as difficult as I thought they would be and from time to time there are prompts on the screen letting you know that it is time to cast a different attack. Through the quest line, you gather so much stuff to help you quest and you encounter plenty of enemies to get your experience points. The main quest line is really good about making you have to go off course to gather what you need to continue and finish the quest line. I am super excited to
